CARDET has successfully implemented the Final Event of BACKPACK ID with the title "Encouraging the inclusion of refugee children in schools. Teaching Greek to migrant children: Applications through technology" on Wednesday 11th of November. The event was held online using the BigBlueButton platform. More than 80 educators and/ or relevant stakeholders attended the event and contributed in the workings.

During the event, the BACKPACK ID project was presented as well as the material produced throughout the project cycle. In addition, ways on how the material can be used by the educators were also shared in order for them to create more inclusive school environments and at the same time to support students who are migrants or refugees on learning the Greek language in more interactive ways.

The participants had also the opportunity to learn more about the methodologies of storytelling and multiple identities as used by the partnership of BACKPACK ID. The event concluded with an open discussion where participants shared their experience and practices on teaching to refugee children and reflected on the how the material of BACKPACK ID can be used in their teaching practices.

According to participants’ feedback, they really enjoyed this online event and found the material presented to them very helpful and interesting. The event and its content were overall characterised as interesting, innovative, useful and practical! Many of them are going to use and integrate parts of the material in their teaching practices.
