Sarahs transition story
My name is Sarah and I come from Lebanon together with my family. I like my name very much.
I came to Sweden and I thought it was a beautiful country.
What scared me most was when the airplane took off. I was happy when I arrived in Sweden and met my cousins who came and met us at the airport. I miss my grandmothers, uncles and aunts in Lebanon. I liked Sweden very much, but I miss my country Lebanon.
When I arrived in Sweden I ran to my daddy who came with the boat and I hugged him.
Than I have told you everything about my beautiful life. My name refers to beauty and hope.
My dad worked as a chef in a restaurant in Lebanon mom worked in a clothing store. I moved here because my dad was living.
I was most afraid to fly. It was really hard leave my friends and relatives but we promised each other to keep in touch all the time. What we missed most of all was dad. We brought our clothes with us and I brought a teddy bear as I´ve had since I was little. Through the experience of moving we got more courageous, we dare to go to town without being able to speak the language and try to communicate with others.
