When people ask me "Are you more Indian or Sikh?" I answer “I am Greek”. Fortunately, I have got Greek citizenship and I am past all that. Now, if someone asks me "Since you are Indian, why are you Sikh and not Hindu?", then I would answer, "I am Greek, I have nothing to do with this". So, I am through with the confusion.
